Recently I had the pleasure of working on an editorial shoot for the Scottish Wedding Directory. It is always a pleasure to work with the guys at SWD so obviously I jumped at the chance when approached! This particular shoot was for the groomswear section and took place at the absolutely gorgeous Kinkell Byre in St Andrews.
Both myself and Sakina who provides hair services with me on shoots, events and larger bridal bookings travelled up to the coastal town on a particularly freezing morning (it was late May, the cold took us all by surprise believe me!!). We had a fantastic day making up Talia and Conor for their various looks and i’m now delighted to share with you some of the images from the shoot. Stockists of the modelled garments can also be found on the images.
Talia’s look – We opted for a soft natural make up look and took the lip to a more vintage berry tone when changing up the hair later in the day. Time is very precious on shoots so we started with both hair and make up styles which were quick and simple to build upon throughout the day. For the make up I used:
Base – Tom Ford Illuminating Primer, Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick, Correct and Conceal pro palette, Tom Ford Bronzer in shade Gold Dust, Illamasqua blush in Naked Rose and Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour and Highlight book.
Eyes – MAC shadows in Nylon, All that Glitters and adding Handwritten and Woodwinked later in the day to add a little depth along with Estee Lauder eye pencil in Bronze.
Lips – Started off with Dior Swan lipstick then changed up to Bobbi Brown Rose Berry and then finally Bobbi Brown Desert Rose
Many thanks to Scottish Wedding Directory for having us, it was a pleasure as always.
